Karen Mitchell is the operational force behind Ontario Business Brokers, working directly alongside Dwayne Mitchell since 2009. While the brokerage has evolved—now operating under the Equitas Business Brokers umbrella and supported by the Business Succession Group — Karen has remained the constant, quietly powering the engine behind every successful transaction.
Her role goes far beyond the title of Executive Assistant. Karen oversees deal flow management, CRM systems, marketing execution, and communication between all parties involved in a transaction. She ensures that every engagement runs with precision—from initial inquiry to closing day. She coordinates between clients, advisors, legal teams, accountants, and buyers, keeping timelines tight and information flowing.
Karen also leads online marketing efforts, manages inbound buyer and seller leads, and ensures every touchpoint reflects the professionalism and responsiveness that Ontario Business Brokers is known for. Her organizational skills, follow-through, and eye for detail are what keep everything moving behind the scenes—often before anyone else realizes something needs to be done.
Though she prefers to work behind the curtain, clients quickly come to know her as a reliable, responsive, and resourceful guide throughout their transaction journey. In many ways, she’s the steady hand that ensures chaos doesn’t happen.
Outside the business, Karen enjoys time with her husband, three sons, and their two Doberman Pinschers. When there’s a boat, a lake, or a quiet dock involved—she’s in her element. (And yes, if the last name and family details sound familiar—this is a family-run business in every sense of the word.)
